Total Station Topcon GM-52 memiliki ketelitian 2 detik yang dapat mengukur dengan baik dan juga akurat. Tersedia layar 2 display untuk memudahkan pengoperasian dari 2 sisi.

Kemudian alat ini dapat mengukur jarak 500 meter tanpa menggunakan prisma (reflectorless) dan jarak pengukuran 4 km dengan bantuan prisma. Jarak pengukuran yang jauh dapat di bidik dengan mudah karena Topcon menyediakan teropong berlensa pembesar hingga 30x.
